About
About Dmitry Nemirovsky
Dr. Nemirovsky is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist, assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and director of genetic arrhythmia at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is board certified in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Nemirovsky received his MD from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School, a cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, and a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then joined Englewood Hospital as a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist.
Dr. Nemirovsky is involved in all aspects of medical and invasive heart arrhythmia care, including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, congestive heart failure, and conduction disease. He performs catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia and implants pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular devices, and monitors. He has special interest in genetic arrhythmia, helping to diagnose and manage familial diseases that place patients at risk for life-threatening heart arrhythmias such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, and left ventricular noncompaction. Dr. Nemirovsky is involved in the training of residents, and physicians on topics related to heart arrhythmias and participates in clinical research on medications, ablation, and device therapy. He is involved with the Heart Rhythm Society, the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes Foundation, and Friends of the Israel Heart Society.
