About Meghan Kaumaya
Dr. Kaumaya is board certified in hematology/oncology and internal medicine. She specializes in thoracic and gastrointestinal medical oncology. Her primary clinical interests are cancers of the colon, esophagus, liver, pancreas, stomach, and lung. Dr. Kaumaya received her MD from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, in Ohio. She did an internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center (Albert Einstein College of Medicine). She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology. In addition to English, she is conversant in Spanish.

Medical Mission Trip, Paraiso, Villa Mella, Dominican Republic, 01/2015.Participated in a week-long medical mission with physicians and residents in which free health screenings, primary care and medications were provided to approximately 700 patients
Migrant Mobile Health Clinic, Toledo, OH, 07/2010 - 08/2010, 07/2011 - 08/2011.In conjunction with the Campaign for Migrant Worker Justice, organized free mobile health clinics for agricultural migrant workers in Fremont, Ohio in which basic primary care services, physicals, eye exams, and HIV testing were provided as well as free meals and clothing.
Medical Mission Trip, Tanga and Korogwe, Tanzania, 07/2010.Participated in a 10-day medical mission in which we provided free health screenings, primary care, dental care, general surgeries and medications to over 800 patients.
